Dev Milestones to take off helmet

In your opinion, what certain developmental milestones are MUSTS before a

helmet/band comes off?

My daughter is 7 mo (6 months adjusted age)old and we *could* take off her

helmet now after 7 wks b/c she's had great progress.

But, she's not close to crawling, of course since she's still young for that

regardless of helmet/bank, and is not really tolerant of tummy time so the

chance of sleeping on her tummy is almost laughable.

So, to avoid regression, what are the MUST-achieves?

Thanks.

There aren't any MUSTs. You should be happy with her head. Crawling and all the

other milestones vary so widely. If the band still fits well you can keep it on

a bit longer, but make sure you still go for checks with your ortho/clinician.

Our ortho told us regression is hard to predict and not necessarily the kids you

would expect. Also it isn't that common, so you don't need to stress too much

about it.
