question for a new DOC band user

My 5 month old got his band last monday. The first few days of head checks went

well. All the red spots went away within 20 min or so.

last night when I took it off for the hour his forhead had two red patches.

They were dry looking. After ther hour they seemed to fade away almost

completly so I put the band back on. I took it off this morning for neck

exercises and the same spots looked really red. It almost looked like a scrape.

I've kept the band off and its been over an hour and its not fading much at all.

Is this normal? Should I keep the band off? Of course this happens on the

weekend when nobody is at the cranial tech office!! Thanks for any help for

this newbie!
