Guest guest
: Thanks so much for this...it looks excellent. I'm going to pass it on to our social worker at the neuromuscular clinic and the integration support service too. Cheers Sally Please visit our current poll and give us your feedback on using Vitamins and Supplements for CMT.
Guest guest
Hi Ronny, This Candida stuff was very popular in the 80's. I did all the diets, drugs and supplements but had very little benefit. What were you hoping to learn? Guest guest
That is a site I send patients to when I am encouraging them to think for themselves regarding statin use. Especially those patients that are experiencing general myalgia and possible statin induced neuropathy. Interesting thing happened last week regarding statins and a patient. I work with MD's (PCP's) and a cardiologist came over to talk with one of the MD's about some new study and the cardiologist complained that a patient of his was told by me to stop taking his Crestor. Well I don't do this, but I do tell patients to educate themselves and then discuss the prescription with there MD. Problem is that this particular patient took my suggestions as a stop-use order! Of course this is the hoped end result but it has to be medically directed or at least patient directed, not DC directed. BTW, it seems like every patient that goes to these cardiologists get put on a statin and/or enrolled in a study! Smells like $$$$ from the Drug companies to me. Guest guest
I love it. Thank you. I love these kinds of sites where the courageous medicos are "going rogue". Bringing our chiropractic message of wellness and natural health to our patients can be frustrating as we all know. It is helpful and sometimes much more persuasive when we can direct them to a similar advice coming from an MD. Guest guest
A patient of mine went to his cardiologist and received a Rx for Zetia, which he went to the local pharmacy and filled. A week later Express scripts sends him a notice that he can order his Zetia on line for less money. How is this not a violation of HIPAA? How did Express script learn of this patient's drug use? Did the physician tell them? Wouldn't think the pharmacy would try to lose business. Of course, natural cholelestrol sequestering agents exist and this patient is making an informed choice to go natural rather than drug. Could be that an informed patient makes these health choices on their own and this is what bothers the real doctors. Christian Mathisen, D C 3654 S Pacific Hwy Medford, OR 97501 cmathdc@...
