Guest guest
THE SANTA CRUZ CELIAC SUPPORT GROUP Presents: Recovering your Health after being diagnosed as Gluten Intolerant A FREE LECTURE Most people recently diagnosed with GLUTEN INTOLERANCE, or CELIAC DISEASE, have endured months, or even years of devastating symptoms, inaccurate diagnosis, and inability to sustain an active life. Yes, celiac disease is a life-long condition. But it does not mean that you have to experience poor health and continue to deal with painful symptoms. You certainly can recover a high level of energy, and feel healthier than ever. BEING GLUTEN-FREE IS NOT ENOUGH. You may have to make deep changes in your life, become more aware, take charge of your health, educate and empower yourself. France Louvet, ND, nutritionist, trauma therapist, is celiac herself, and trained in many different disciplines of the body, the mind and the spirit. Her approach is truly holistic, and her 25 years of training and practice in different countries with people from many cultures and ethnicities are reflected in her fresh ”outsider’s” perspective. France will focus with empathy on the myriads of symptoms that afflict most celiac people, symptoms she has been experiencing herself, and seen in her patients. Her talk will be most educational about nutrition, beyond just “being gluten-free.” She will approach the psycho-emotional, energetic and social aspect of the condition, the cultural and the environmental impact, the effects on the body posture, chemical sensitivity, depression, the relation between trauma and celiac disease, and other important, but often ignored aspects of this condition. Dominican Hospital of Santa Cruz 1555 Soquel Drive, meeting room 1, Santa Cruz, California Saturday July 19th, 2003 At 11.00 am Please call to reserve your space because seating is limited.
