Guest guest
France Louvet, ND Integrated Nutrition Holistic Psychotherapy Patient Education French Aromatic Medicine & Customized Medicinal Formulas -------------------------------------------------------- Dear Patients, Doctors and Friends, I am glad to announce that I am re-opening my practice on a part- time schedule, addressing gluten intolerance and symptoms related to celiac disease. As many of you know, I have wonderfully recovered from the many ill conditions associated with celiac disease. As a celiac myself, as a naturopath trained in France, a nutritionist trained in both Western and Eastern schools, and a holistic psychotherapist, I have been in practice since 1979 in different countries, and my purpose now is to help patients with celiac disease to lead a healthy and pain free life. Most patients need nutritional education beyond just being gluten free, but also to regenerate their whole being often very depleted by years of malabsorption. Some patients, diagnosed after many years of suffering, are in a state of extreme depletion and weakness and in need of a special recovery plan. Gluten intolerance is not a " digestive disease " as many people, and unfortunately also health practitionners, perceive it. It is a condition that affects the whole person and her-his environment, including the physical, the energetic, the psycho-emotional, and even the familial and the social areas. All the systems of the patient are concerned: osteo-postural, dental, muscles and skin, lymphatic, nervous, hormonal, senses, cardio-vascular, respiratory, and of course, digestive. In my practice, I include lifestyle recommendations specific to celiac disease that people have to integrate into their life. I provide a truly holistic approach, taking into account dermatitis herpetiformis, digestive problems, chemical sensitivities, altered body posture, pain and inflammation, all often associated with this condition. In my contacts with celiac people, both in the U.S. and in Europe, where I spend part of the year, I noticed that the psycho-emotional was playing a very important role in that condition and that it was overlooked by most health practitioners. Coping with the necessity to make deep changes affecting every area of life is a challenge for many celiacs. Support and learning new ways are much needed to deal with strong emotions, anxiety, resurgence of past traumas and unresolved issues, nervousness and low resistance to stress that often disturb the life of celiac patients. As a holistic therapist, I work with them on these different symptoms and their causes, and give them tools and methods they can use for the rest of their life to reach optimum health. It is perfectly possible to be celiac and very healthy. Celiac disease can be a transformative journey, a wonderful opportunity to learn new ways of living, and to become healthier and therefore happier than ever. Patients need to learn new ways of doing things in order to get different results. If they keep the same old habits, and just go gluten free, the results for their long term health are rarely excellent. However, new patterns of living, new habits and becoming aware and mindful will be necessary and consequently will require support and education to be successful with a new life. My practice is conveniently located in s Valley, off Hwy 17, 20 minutes of San airport. For appointments, I can be reached on week days at 831-438-0907. Insurance not accepted. Thank you for your attention, Kind Regards, France Louvet
