Later my daughter mentioned that she'd had an endoscopy with no sedation at all, and that she doesn't think she could make herself go through it again. Guest guest
I would have to agree with Sue...knowing a definitive answer to the issues that were plauguing me was reason enough. I am only 23...and I won't lie...it was a bit of a financial burden even though I have insurance. It was only covered 80% and that left a nice chunk for me to pay off. I also worry that it might " taint " my medical records for life. But I say to that...oh well. Having this condition is for your entire lifetime. The diagnosis helps make it become VERY real. I don't think I would have taken it as seriously if it was a wishy washy diagnosis. And my own personal sidenote...if you do decide to have the biopsy done...definitely get the doctor to twillight you. I didnt have any drugs when I had mine done and it was a brief nightmare (and I mean that in the nicest way) It just not pleasant when you are all tense. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Since we are sharing biopsy stories.................... I have had two biopsies in the past couple of years and was pretty much awake for both of them. The doctor only gave me a mild sedative - I was not even woozy. I have to tell you that it was not too bad for me. I gagged a bit during the procedure, but the whole thing was not all that uncomfortable. Maybe I was just lucky................ :) Hersom Litigation Secretary Pillsbury Winthrop LLP 2475 Hanover Street Palo Alto, CA 94304 (650) 233-4783 shersom@... -----Original Message-----From: flatcat9@...
