I don't know about a nausea reaction to gluten, but this year's flu can definitely last several days. A number of my co-workers had it earlier this Spring and were sick for over a week. Hope you feel better soon! In the sickly years before I was diagnosed, I would feel feverish somewhat frequently, but not necessarily nauseated at the same time. So, I guess what I'm asking is:1. Has anyone heard of a stomach flu lately that's lasting several days?2. Has anyone had flu-like symptoms from eating gluten?Who knows -- it could be a combination of the flu and my immune system not reacting well. Thanks,

I definitely have had a ‘flu’

when I have had gluten or dairy or soy (intolerance). Just the immune system trying

to fight the invaders – in this case food.

Subject: [ ] Fever and

nausea

Hi everyone,

I'm on my fourth day of feeling like I have the flu -- intense nausea,

tiredness and woozyness, and a slight fever (99.4).

I had chalked it up to some kind of stomach flu, and that's probably

what it is. I'm just wondering if this could be some kind of auto

immune response to gluten -- if I did have accidental gluten exposure.

In the sickly years before I was diagnosed, I would feel feverish

somewhat frequently, but not necessarily nauseated at the same time.

So, I guess what I'm asking is:

1. Has anyone heard of a stomach flu lately that's lasting several days?

2. Has anyone had flu-like symptoms from eating gluten?

Who knows -- it could be a combination of the flu and my immune system

not reacting well.

Thanks,

My son was nauseated for over a year before being

diagnosed. He also had periodic low fevers.

I just had gluten exposure (ok, I actually ate a croissant, chalk it

up to an extremely weak and stupid moment), and I feel awful, too.

Yesterday was a serious case of intestinal agony, and now I just

feel tired and like I'm coming down with the flu. No fever, though,

so maybe you do have a bug.

Hope you feel better!

Hi -- I hope you're feeling at least a little better by now. For

what it's worth, a few people here at work have been out with a

particularly bad stomach flu. My guess is that's what you have :o(

Take care. I hope you're back to healthy soon!
