Guest guest
and Celiacbayarea, A number of us also monitor the " ICORS " celiac listserver. The technology is a bit more primitive than the group, but it can be similar. You can recive a daily email of each of the postings. You can also read online. From what I know, the group has been in existance for years, and it originated from St. 's University in NYC. St. 's stopped making their listserver available for non-profits. But an organization, ICORS, is doing that. Their charge is minimal, and someone is picking up the fee, so it is free to all of us. There is a once-per-month ad blitz where retailers are allowed to post. There are also postings from national Celiac organizations. As with any group, there will be strange postings. The information from the ICORS list is not better than ours here in the Bay Area, it is just a bit different. Since it is worldwide, you can get a different perspective, particularly if you want to ask travel- related questions. I was traveling to Spain, so I asked a question and received a response from someone living in the area in which we were traveling. The list is dominated mainly by US and Canadian participants. Here is the URL to get to the main page: http://www.enabling.org/ia/celiac/index.html Fourth link down on the left tells you how to enroll.
