Guest guest
Hi , I think it would be nice to have a GF singles connection too LOL! It is really hard to meet people that do not understand your needs. In the dating scene, it is really difficult to get through that hurdle! I think the website looks FABULOUS!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!! <keith.simmons@...> wrote: Hi guys,My roommate and I just finished working on our celiac sprue website: www.sprued.com. I would love it if everyone could take a look, give me some feedback, and ideally, add some content. Currently, the site allows users to swap information about recipes and groceries. We're also planning to add some really cool features in the near future, like the ability to review restaurants and then search for those reviews by location (imagine www.yelp.com, but just for celiacs).Ninety percent of the time, the questions I have about living gluten free falls into three categories: is food X gluten free, what are some new gluten free recipes, and which restaurants in area X (in my case San Mateo and San Francisco) are celiac friendly. As far as I know, the online tools available for answering these questions are fairly crude. Forums and email groups are great for certain purposes, but their unstructured form makes finding specific information difficult. That is in a nutshell why we wrote sprued. We wanted to provide an online tool to answer the above questions, and make it as user friendly as possible. Let me know what you think!P.S. Keep in mind that sprued is only a tool, and will only become useful with user contributed content. If you have some good gluten free recipes, it would be great if you would add them to the site. Guest guest
, that's so funny, but NOT!! I hadn't even thought of dating! My husband can be really clueless when it comes to cd, when I think he should be jumping up and down for joy that I'm healed, since he had to witness and deal with so much with me. I'm so worried about being High Maintenance when we go out; I can't imagine a first date. yuck. I think a " Celiac Match.com " is in order!!! Also, a list of what to avoid, like my HVranch question the other day. I just don't know how to find the hidden gluten without bringing my six blocks long printout with me everywhere I go. Guest guest
OK, I mentioned this whole idea after my first date as GF, I have been a vegan for years before this, and if that was not bad enough!!! Anyhow the guy wants to go out again, but I know that one day he is just going to lose it, so why go on? Anyhow maybe I should get past this. Another idea is you should allow GF specialist to advertise on your site, including mental therapists, so my date does not have to hear me ramble on about my families strange diet restrictions. I am sure that a regular therapist would start yawning after 5 minutes, but if they had interest as they were GF and could understand, I would feel better about talking to them... HHMMMM.....what else would I like to see on your site? LOL!!!! I really think the Sprued site looks beautiful!!!! I hope not to insult anyone, as I am trying to have fun with my own mild frustrations!!! Pratt <kimberlymp1@...> wrote: C'mon, ! Think big! :POn 7/13/07, <keith.simmonsgmail> wrote:>>>>>>> Heh. Guest guest
, This is a great site. However I tried to enter a recipe that I created last night and kept getting an error message. So there seems to be some bugs still in the system. Mark Morley
Guest guest
First, I want to thank you for using the system. I can't tell you how exciting it is to have people actually using the tools we spent so much time building.Second, I looked through our logs and found the recipe you were trying to enter. In a nutshell, our system does not handle long recipe steps, but rather than dealing with the problem gracefully, it looks like it was just throwing an ugly, cryptic error. I'll fix it so there is no limit on the length of recipe steps (that was just an over site on our part). I have a guest over at the moment, so I'll have to do it late tonight, but I'll send an update email when the bug is fixed. Again, thanks so much for using Sprued. I'm pretty excited about the possibilities for the site.On 7/15/07, 1grnthmb < 1grnthmb@...> wrote: , This is a great site. Guest guest
, The site really is attractive. I love the colors you've chosen and how it just pops when it loads. It is very easy to navigate. I'm really looking forward to seeing what new things will be added! Thanks so much for doing something like this! It really helps newbies like me! Guest guest
Mark,Everything should be fixed now. Try entering your recipe again, and if you have any more issues, let me know. Thanks again for using the site, and keep the feedback coming. On 7/15/07, Pratt <kimberlymp1@...> wrote: Well get your ideas over to him! Guest guest
, Thank you for making the correction. It is a great site and I see myself using it a lot. Sorry that I can not post pictures. I do not own a digital camera and I do not know how food pictures would turn out without being done professionally. Thank you again for creating a site that has so many good uses and looks really good on top of that. Mark
Guest guest
Don't worry about posting pictures. They are completely optional, and I imagine most recipes won't have them.On 7/16/07, 1grnthmb < 1grnthmb@...> wrote: , Thank you for making the correction.
