Guest guest Posted April 25, 2007 Report Share Posted April 25, 2007 I have spent a lot of time reading about infant nutrition & actually making baby food in the past few years and I just wanted to respond to the question why keep a baby gluten free? It is standardly recommended to keep wheat (amongst a few other things) out of a babies diet at least until a year due to the development of the digestive track and the difficulty in digesting wheat. Oats are generally a great grain for babies! Quinoa flakes are also nutritionally really good, though I dont know if there is a specific one packaged for babies.
