Thanks for this review. I live just

up the mountain from Felton and shop regularly at New Leaf. After reading

your blog, I realize how much I take it for granted. I will definitely

have to check out some of the items you mentioned; I usually just buy the

family favorites, so I don’t always notice when new things come in.

And thanks for the head’s up on the Redbridge.

Here’s the funny part: my husband has been asking for New Leaf to carry

it and they have been trying to get it for a while, so your timing must have

been perfect, as we have regularly checked for it there and it wasn’t

there last time we looked (note that the sign in the photo on your blog says “new”).

Up ‘til now we have only found it at Bev Mo over the hill. We will

definitely cruise down the mountain to pick some up.

For other visitors to Santa Cruz, there are 5 New Leaf stores in

the area; they each carry different GF offerings, but Felton is one of the

best. Another great stop for celiacs visiting Santa Cruz is Staff of Life (Water Street at

sey), which, despite the name, carries many GF goodies. Best of all

their deli uses WF tamari, so many of their deli items are GF.

A bit of history about this group: the

founder, , lived just down Hwy 9 from the Felton New Leaf when she started

this group (she has since moved to Arizona).

another post about local Bay Area stuff!

I feel really bad about this because the board has

been so quiet that

mine is the last post- BUT, I had a wonderful day discovering

REDBRIDGE and all kinds of GF goodies in Felton, Ca and wanted to make

sure you guys all knew about the New Leaf Health Food Store there.

They also have a few other locations in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

It's

a fun area and gluten free goodness abounds, so I highly recommend it.

I blogged about it here:

http://www.bookofyum.com/blog/

(and reviewed Redbridge, Glutino, etc.) We will now return to our

regularly scheduled programming, and I promise not to do anything cool

and GF related in the Bay area for at least a week. ;)

Best,
