Guest guest
Hi and thanks. Can you give us an idea of what was on the GF menu? Guest guest
Their menu changes every week, so these things may or may not be there if you go. And, before I sound like a complete pig, they do tapas (aka small plates) and you have a few dishes. Last night I had scallops wrapped in ham, caramelized Brussels sprouts (sounds gross but are really good), and a hanger steak with mashed potatoes. They also had a carrott soup and some sort of lamb thing. It's a fairly small selection compared to the regular menu, but very good. --- piglet95037 <csilverstein@...> wrote: > Hi and thanks. Guest guest
I found their web site. I may try it next time I'm in WC: http://www.va-de-vi-bistro.com/ (They don't have their GF menu listed but their other menus are online) On 1/10/07, piglet95037 <csilverstein@...> wrote: > Hi and thanks. Guest guest
Thanks! BIL lives in Walnut Creek - we usually go to that Chinese place with the GF menu - I'm having a brain freeze right now. But "It's all about wine" as Va de Vi translates, with the outdoor seating, sounds right up my alley! I've eaten there many times, but last night, they gave me their new "gluten free" menu. Apparently, they've had so many people asking about gluten that they decided to make up a gluten free menu instead of having to ask the chef every time. If I recall correctly, one of the chef's friends has Celiac and so he knows about it. It's a tad pricey, but the food, wine and atmosphere are all great. It's hard to get in, so definitely make a reservation (www.opentable.com works pretty well). ____________________________________________________________________________________ Need a quick answer?
