Guest guest
I rarely drink bottled drinks of any kind. However, for those who do want sodas, it's worth noting that some are made with sugar, some (the great majority) with corn syrup. H. Guest guest
There is lots more wrong with soda than whether or not it is GF. The high-frutose corn syrup is enough to keep me away from it, never mind the unbalancing effects of the chemicals that cause carbonation. We drink lots of water, herbal and black tea, juice, and for the bubbles – kefired apple cider. Celiacs are at risk for diabetes. Guest guest
haha, i like the " camel with water " thing. Me too. I don't drink soda regularly myself, but it's nice to know that it is gluten free, if for no other reason than the whole rum and coke thing. I also don't drink alcohol regularly, honest. lol. I support other people's freedom to make their own lifestyle choices- even if I think Dr. Pepper tastes like sweetened pen ink and prune juice mixed together, I only make a little bit of a face when people drink it. Oh, and don't get me started on Mountain Dew... do they even sell that lemon flavored sweetened windex anymore? Personally, my favorite beverage is unsweetened celestial seasonings herbal teas (the GF varieties of course), cooled. Or, water. Or, chilled unsweetened green tea. Or, to be very honest, a nice skim cappuccino, unsweetened. May not be good for me, but it makes me happy. In good spirits, PS on the topic of beverages that aren't good for you- has anyone found Redbridge beer in the Mountain View area? The local Whole Foods doesn't have it, and the guys at BevMo looked at me like I had three heads when I asked them about it. > > Rest Assured Connie I am not an addict. > > I am a camel with water, but I do occassionally like to have a soda. > > Thanks for the info
Guest guest
Hi , Soda most definitely makes me hurt! I love it, but only drink it rarely as a treat because otherwise, it will talk to me through painful joints! lindacaimi@... wrote: Good Morning Everyone, I have a strange question. For years I have drank at least 10 glasses of soda a day. Regular Pepsi or Coke, no diet. During the summer I started to cut back and drank propel water. I just can't do the plain water. I realized I was not in so much pain, not pain free but not so bad. So I stopped soda completely which was a real challenge for me. I even took it to bed with me to drink during the night. I felt good so I stopped the Ra meds. I was on ultracet and metho. At first I stopped the metho and really didn't see a difference with the pain level. So I thought what am I taking it for, there's no difference. Now I feel really good, not pain free but so much better than I have felt in years. I only on occassion take the ultracet. I still have some stiffness and of course pain but it is all so deal-able. I am wondering could the soda have been the culprit with so many more symptoms. I have changed nothing else. Due to stomach problems my diet is limited. I eat not dairy, no fried foods, no meat, nothing very heavy as mashed potatoes or pasta would be. I do eat lots and lots of fish. We are a fish family and all eat it. I am just wondering and I plan on ask the Rheumy. But to be honest most doctors would raise and eyebrow to all this. I find more information here. I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation. Now my SIL has has arthritis in her hands and drinks diet soda like I drank regular soda. So she is going to try to give up the soda. It is a difficult thing to do almost like giving up cigarettes. MeMom
