Apparently the second post I made about maltodextrin didn't show up.

That is wierd. In any case, as Rob said, it turns out I was

misinformed about maltodextrin - A doctor told me to avoid every

ingredient with the word " malt " in it. How nice to have another

ingredient to add to the " safe " list (at least within the US). My

apologies.

Coke and Pepsi are gluten free, as is Dr. Pepper. Unfortunately it

sounds like this nutritionist was not well informed. If you get a

chance, you might try attending the Stanford Celiac clinic and seeing

their nutritionist, who is supposed to be an excellent resource.

I know that the Carmel Coloring in Coke and Pepsi have been stated to be gluten free but for some reason I react to just about any dark colored soda. The only exceptions are Barq's Root Beer and the Berries and Cream Dr Pepper. (I do react to regular Dr Pepper). I do not know what is in them that bothers me but it sure does.
