Guest guest
Thanks Cory, We stayed at Yosemite Lodge and ended up eating at the Mountain Room Restaurant only once (great gluten free menu). The staff in the food court were very knowledgeable and very accomodating. They went out of their way to go cook me a fresh piece of fish in a clean pan. If someone didn't know the answer to my questions, they always went to the chef and asked. Even the girl at the ice cream stand knew what was GF. Not too much luck getting safe food at Curry Village though. Even the corn tacos at the taqueria had wheat flour in the shell. The chef at the curry village buffet walked me through the buffet and was able to tell me what I could eat. Though, this off course is very risky with people mixing up serving spoons all the time. Overall a great experience and I came home with no signs of being glutened! -Krishna --- In , " cory katt " <cory66katt@...> wrote: > > When we went we ate in the main cafeteria like place and thez were reallz > accomodating. Guest guest
I'm psyched - I just booked August 3-5 and am glad they can accommodate! What did Mountain Room have on the GF menu & what was good at the food court? -Joe On 7/22/07, k_varia <k_varia@...> wrote: > Thanks Cory, > > We stayed at Yosemite Lodge and ended up eating at the Mountain Room > Restaurant only once (great gluten free menu). Guest guest
Has anyone eaten a gluten-free dinner at the Ahwahnee? I've never eaten there, and was just wondering if it's even a possibility for celiacs. Guest guest
We did have the Sunday brunch at Ahwahnee. They'll make a good fresh omlette and they have a lot of seafood - smoked and poached salmon, shrimp cocktail, osyters, etc. They also have the carvery, where they offered ham and prime rib. There was definitely a lot of stuff to avoid though. The dinner sounds pretty fancy. Jackets and dresses/dress pants required, so I'm sure they'd be able to accomodate you. -Krishna > > > > > > > > When we went we ate in the main cafeteria like place and thez were > > > reallz > > > > accomodating.
