I am actually quite opposed to the list being used for commercial purposes unless the company is both local and specifically serves gluten-free folks. I read other blogs and websites and e-mail lists for product information... I read this one for BAY AREA celiac information. It's the only local list I know of, and I like knowing that the posts I read here will be relevant to local issues, as opposed to the larger celiac lists.

So, if one of the local companies like Mariposa wanted to tell us about their products or a restaurant wanted to tell us they were opening up a new location in the Bay Area, that'd be great. But product information with no Bay Area connection? I will read Celiac.com or the SillyYaks list for that.Just my $.02 Thanks for asking for our opinions, Pam.Isaiah-- Gluten-Free By The Bay
