Could someone please tell me where I can (quickly) find those

handy-dandy toaster bags -- those that I can use to put a piece of GF

bread into and pop into a friend's toaster? Molly and I are going on a

quick trip next week.

Thanks!

Debbie

Thanks, Isaiah. I found them at kitchenkapers.com, and they'll get

here by Monday. I hope they work!

To find toaster bags, google toastabag or toaster bag. You'll find lots of entries.

Bread comes out of the toaster bag toasted. Maybe not quite as brown as if it were bare-naked, but toasted.

I think I've bought the bags in a health food store somewhere as well as on-line. They cost about $10 for a package of -- 6?. The bags are fiberglass, I think, and they can be reused many, many times.

I believe their original purpose was to allow people to make melted cheese sandwiches and such in the toaster without leaving a mess. I've read that people even do scrambled eggs in them. You know, dorm food sorts of things, to prove they can. All I use them for is toast, in emergencies, and I plan to stick to that.

They would be great if you had to share a toaster at home or visiting a non-GF friend. Only once have I found a good occasion to use one in a B & B, one I stay in often.

I get the idea of this, but I've never seen a Toasta-Bag. where do you get them?

Also, you might want to travel with a Toasta-Bag, just in case you find yourself in a situation where GF bread and a non-GF toaster coincide.
