Hi everyone,

Help! I'm starting a new job that's part of UC and I'm figuring out

what health insurance plan to use -- but I'm thinking first I want to

find a good GI doc and then let that dictate which plan.

Any recommendations for GI docs in the Easy Bay (preferably

Oakland/Berkeley)? I was tempted to go with Dr. Aron in SF but if

there's someone good on this side of the bay I'll go with them.

Thanks much!

My doc, Dr. Taft Bhuket at East Bay Enterology Associates, is awesome.   He's in Berkeley right across from Alta Bates on Regent Street, and his medical group is ABMC (Alta Bates Medical Group).Email me privately if you'd like his number! And I'd stay away from Dr. Silpa in the same office.  That man is a flippant jerk with the worst bedside manner. On Sep 26, 2007, at 9:26 AM, redchickn wrote:Hi everyone, Help! I saw a GI named Dr. Darby. It's been a few years, and I actually saw

him for an ulcer, not celiac, but I absolutely loved him. He was a

very kind and gentle doctor and took time to explain things. I was

living in Lafayette at the time I was a patient and actually asked for

a closer doctor when they were first referring me but was told he was

the best in the area. Once I met him I didn't mind the drive at all

because he's worth it. He's in Oakland and his number is 510-444-3297.

Hope this helps!
