Guest guest
I wish I could have been there! What were some of your favorite new treats? I was amazed to see such a huge turnout. I am the only person I know with celiac so it is easy to feel different or isolated. I didn't expect that so many people would be there. Everyone was so nice, the food was abundant - too much to taste everything. The gluten-free products are getting better I think. I remember my first gluten-free vendor fair a couple of years ago where I felt that many things weren't worth the calories. This time most things I tasted were pretty good. A few were very good. Thank you to all of the folks involved with organizing and working to make this such a great event! It was nice to meet some of you too as you came to get your goodie bags. It was nice to meet some of you guys too…being around so many Celiacs and feeling normal was great! For once I wasn’t a minority J ps – being the jersey girl I am, I have to gloat some on the Giants win! Im still on a high! Whoo-hoo! It was nice to meet many of you and get to put a face to the name... I agree, many of the vendors had great treats. I especially liked the chocolate fountain, Whole Foods bakehouse stuff and the Brazilian tapioca rolls- must find a way to make those sundried tomato rolls, yum! Hope to see many of you again at the various GF events in the area. Thanks to all of those who donated their time and volunteered- you guys were awesome! - www.bookofyum.com > > Just wanted to report that the event was a huge success in my > opinion. Guest guest
I agree, the food was really good, everyone was super-nice (we celiacs rock!) and it looked like a good time was had by all! It was so nice to meet Carla, , , Maia and, of course, . Who knew volunteering would be so much fun? Hope to get a chance to see you all again soon- and meet those that I haven't met yet. I've had the brazilian tapioca rolls at Espetus in SF on Market Street...it's nice to eat warm rolls in a restaurant! Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
