Awesome - adding them to my next shopping trip!-JoeOn Feb 4, 2008 12:26 PM, Hogle <jjhogle@...> wrote:

I thought that I would pass on this nice, thorough response from the

Evergood Sausages plant manager to my inquiry. Turns out that their

sausages are GF except for the British Bangers. Those are made on the

same line, but only one day a week, at the end of the day, and the

equipment is thoroughly cleaned and inspected afterward.

Cheers,

Subject: RE: Wheat/rye/oats/barley gluten content

Dear Mr. Hogle,

Thank you for your recent inquiry about Evergood Sausage products.

The dextrose that we use is an enzyme conversion of corn starch. It

is refined by ion-exchange demineralization.

I have been told by all of our spice suppliers that none of our spices

contain any ingredients derived from the grains you reference in your

e-mail.

We do produce one product that contains gluten. Our British Bangers

have bread crumbs as one of the ingredients. They are produced on the

same lines as our other sausage items. They are produced one day a

week at the end of the day. After processing, the line is completely

torn down, pressure washed, hand scrubbed and sanitized. It is

inspected by QC prior to being reassembled.

I hope that this provides you the information you desired. If I can

be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
