Guest guest
Well I understand your situation and I am in a similar situation. My husband is not ready to vaccinate at this time, 2 people at his office, one ladies daughter almost died from dpt and another guys son has autism from the mmr. Have some one give you the link to the discussion yesterday where they are talking about possible conflict of interest. CAN is forcing the issue of mercury free vaccines they believe the mercury is triggering the disease and are pleading that they halt all vaccine containing this additive until a better one is used. Let your husband know that 400,000 Americans are currently walking around with the disease it is diagnosed in childhood and there is a reason. This number is for autism alone not for any other learning disability, I will have my husband link the site, I am a little retarded with the link situation. I am nervous and scared of the unknown like yourself. I am contemplating dtap and hib. I hopefully will be having another child as well in the next 2 yrs. And I do not want my baby to get pertussis it is still out there and it will kill babies. I go back and forth back and forth. But I have to say if my child got a reaction that would be it I would be done then the risk of a different child far outweighs the risk of disease. Nosodes may help, I may try that route I am still not sure. But one thing I do know is your husband needs to sit down and go over a lot of the things you are reading. The two of you need to be in sink God forbade something happen to your child either way, you would never forgive the other person. After all even if 50% of the 400,000 were misdiagnosed or the genetic form which is at birth 200,00 is a lot of children. Before 1980 this disease was almost unheard of. I received 3-15 shots my entire life your child will receive 29-33. You and your husband have received even less than I have probably. The other approach you may want to take with him is let him know the amount of vaccines he received is less than half of what your child is not required to get and after all of the things he will hopefully read, that now would be a good time for him to get a booster shot to ensure his own antibody levels. After all if he is comfortable giving it to his babies he should have no problem. Good Luck keep me posted I hope I did not come across the wrong way, It just makes me a little upset when I hear of stories like yours and the significant other seems to have a hard time truly believing what the other saw in there own child. Guest guest
When we decided not to vaccinate, we knew that becaus of our decision we needed to be careful of who our children were around. They didnt go out of the house until they were two months and then only to church and no one else was around them. Now that they are older, at five months, we are so particular, but we still take extra percautions. But now that i have the girls, i think we would take these measures, whether we vaccinated or not. I dont like strangers touching my girls and because they are twins they draw a lot of attention. We dont take the girls to restaurants since some lady would NOT stop touching them, She even kissed Zakharia on the head!!!!! I thought i was going to faint!!!! Really, think about it. There is nothing to gain by people just warning of the dangers! It's a rather ignorant statement (nothing against your dh...many people say the same thing!) Guest guest
Dear , Welcome to this group. How did you hear about it? Check your email, I have sent you some documents that may help you to study. Are you working as a tech now? Where? What state and in what field? You probably passed if you are working as a tech as long as you know trade/generic and math and assist the pharmacist well. IF you are not, it will depend upon how well you were prepared and what you studied and learned from books. Wishing you good luck. Just remember if you did not pass we are right here. Take care, Jeanetta Lopp <wills_angel4ever@...> wrote: Hi everyone, My name is ,everyone calls me Jenn.I am a registered pharmacy tech now,but am tryine to become certified.I took my test in November but I know that I failed it and will have to go back.I sure thought I was ready but boy was I wrong? Guest guest
Dear , Sorry I typed more but somehow it got erased before I could post it, but I thought that it had.... I am sure that you passed with your experience being your main teacher, and knowing trade and generic in the field. I also wanted to say that I am glad that you are enjoying and utilizing the site. It is rare that one would continue to study after the exam, most are tired, beat and jsut glad it is over. You are a rare breed! Congrats on that! If you have any suggestions as to how I can make others aware of this site so that they would not have to wait to after the exam please feel free to enlighten me. What are the current requirements in TN? Thanks Jeanetta > > Hi Jeanetta, > Sorry that it took me so long to answer you. With work plus taking > care of a 21 month old baby.I have a hard time finding me time..LOL. > Thanks for all the info you emailed me.It has been helpful. > As to how I heard about the group I came across it when I was > looking for study materials.I wish that I had found you guys a long > time ago. > Yes I am a registered pharmacy tech now in Tennessee.I work right > beside the pharmacist. If it were up to him I would work every hour > that he does with no days off....LOL...I love my job. > Well I thought that I was prepared for that test but I was sooo > wrong.I just know deep down that I failed.Everyone tells me that I > studied too hard. Guest guest
Hi Ted welcome to the group. The people I know who had fusions took a couple of months to recover from. The surgery pain seems to heal slowly plus if you push yourself too much it takes longer it seems like. i'd be happy to have that kind of pain, my surgeries didn't help and my leg pain returned from one in less than 3 weeks Glad to hear yours worked. Again welcome to the group this is a wonderful group of people.Sharon Group Owner > > Hi All, > > Just joined this group. > > I had fusion surgery (lumbar)in December and I am still in pain, the > nerve pain is gone (thank God), so it is just pain from the operation. > > I know it will take a while, but if all goes well, any idea how long > will this go on? Guest guest
Hi Kat (and Everyone), Since I live in Moraga (and you live in Lafayette), perhaps we could have a gathering/party of GF people in the Lamordina area- are there many of you out there?? By the way, I'm older than you, but have stepsons ages 11 and 15 and a daughter age 10. (I started late!) My Best, Caryn ----- Original Message ----- From: Kat Mulkey Sent: Saturday, February 02, 2008 10:16 AM Subject: [ ] Hi from New Member Dang, I just signed up for this group and therefore just found out abouttonight's event (doesn't the phrase "GF Cooking Spree" make you warm allover?!) so of course I have other plans for tonight but I'm hoping thatthis group doesn't need some national org to come along in order to havea big GF cookout or party, right? Please say I'm right.I'm 51 and have been gf for over 3 years (also have been vegetarian fordecades, but that's a different Group). Happily, my non-gf husbandcooperates nicely by supporting me in my purge of cookware andappliances and all the contents of our kitchen cabinets 3 years ago, bykeeping his occasionally-purchased hotdog buns sequestered away fromeverything else, and by not expecting me to be enthusiastic about goingout to eat at restaurants. Yayy! (I figure, if he tolerated mygluten-induced depression and moodiness for years, I can allow a coupleof hotdog buns in a Tupperware in the corner of the kitchen five times ayear.) After going gluten-free, I can joyously say that I'm now almost thehealthiest person that I know. With setbacks: I get gluten poisoningabout twice a year, usually at restaurants through my own carelessnessor the ignorance of the waitperson. That's why I mentioned the cookoutin my first sentence above. I cook and eat at home, mostly. That's fine, but with our disease/condition/lifestyle/whatever-you-wanna-call-it,it's so essential to have Community, to know that you're not alone! Enough intro. Feel free to email me: katkatmulkey or visit mywebsite at www.katmulkey.com and if you're near Lafayette (Contra CostaCounty), I'm often available for a hike.
