I will be giving out the goodie bags. I have only posted here a few

times but have been lurking for a while. I am short and fat with

shoulder length dark brown hair. Looking forward to meeting other

local folks with celiac as I had wanted to go to the last dinner but

had a conflict.

See you, Maia

Carla, et al. Sorry, Hallie and I will not be in attendance and the fantastic cook-off. We'd love to, but we had other plans. I do want to hear all about it.Vic

Just wanted to report that the event was a huge success in my

opinion. I was amazed to see such a huge turnout. I am the only

person I know with celiac so it is easy to feel different or

isolated. I didn't expect that so many people would be there.

Everyone was so nice, the food was abundant - too much to taste

everything. The gluten-free products are getting better I think. I

remember my first gluten-free vendor fair a couple of years ago where

I felt that many things weren't worth the calories. This time most

things I tasted were pretty good. A few were very good.

Thank you to all of the folks involved with organizing and working to

make this such a great event! It was nice to meet some of you too as

you came to get your goodie bags.

The event really was great fun! It was nice to meet many of you and

get to put a face to the name... I agree, many of the vendors had

great treats. I especially liked the chocolate fountain, Whole Foods

bakehouse stuff and the Brazilian tapioca rolls- must find a way to

make those sundried tomato rolls, yum! Hope to see many of you again

at the various GF events in the area. Thanks to all of those who

donated their time and volunteered- you guys were awesome!
