Guest guest
I went to Berkeley location tonight with a few friends and I asked our waitress what on your menu was gluten free. Not only did she not know what I could eat (though she was very gracious and understanding, which I appreciated) she said that the morning chefs prepare everything and the night chefs have no idea what's in the food! I was shocked that not only could the waitress not help me, but neither could the chefs on staff. I was extremely disappointed that all I felt safe eating was a salad and a side of mashed potatoes. The manager was not on hand to answer any questions. I sent them an email addressing my concerns and utter disappointment. If you would like to contact them as well, their email address is info@... .. url: http://www.herbivorerestaurant.com ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ me: Stiavetti mail: steph@... eats: http://www.wasabimon.com Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. -> - Carroll
Guest guest
This is what I sent: To Whom It May Concern: I was informed earlier today by someone from my celiac disease support group that you can in no way give us information about which of your foods is safe for those of us with gluten intolerance to eat. No only was your wait staff unable to help us in choosing an item to order, we were informed that the kitchen couldn’t even answer our questions because the food is prepared the night before by an entirely different staff! I am very sad to learn this, and I am even sadder to tell you that until this situation is rectified, I will be unable to eat anything at any of your locations, as I am VERY sensitive to gluten and even the merest crumb renders me incapacitated for three days. While I had not yet had the opportunity to eat at your fine establishment since finding out I have celiac disease, I had looked forward to doing so, as I assumed from my prior experiences there that I could trust your staff to be knowledgeable about what goes into its food and its customers. I am very sorry indeed to learn this is not the case. If you would like any assistance in learning how to make your kitchen safe for us, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to assist you in any way I can.
