Guest guest
Hello! I am going to take my daughter in to see a Pediatric GI. I am looking for referrals @ Oakland Children Hospital which is where my GI recommended we go. Has anyone been to a Ped GI there with a good experience to report? Thanks! ----- Original Message ----From: j. hogle <jjhogle@...> Sent: Sunday, January 13, 2008 5:27:50 PMSubject: Re: [ ] PF Chang's News My wife (who is GF) and I had dinner a few days ago at the PF Chang's in Las Vegas. They had plastic-encased menus, but we did not see anything beyond the current menu. The server, Meghan, was well aware of the GF requirements, told us that the hot sauce and mustard were GF, and thoughtfully replaced the soy with a wheat-free soy. I hope all PF Chang servers are thoughtful as Meghan and Mike. I had called the day before to see if I could order something from the regular menu and have it made gluten free. I talked to Mike and he was so accommodating and nice. When I was there he was gracious to check on me and supervise my food preparation too. And it was nice to eat something besides my usual lettuce wraps! He also told me that they will soon have the gluten free menu in a sleeve that is part of the regular menu and that it will have about 4 times the choices compared to the current GF menu. Later the server asked me questions about celiac and in the course of the conversation he shared that they plate the ingredients for GF meals on red plates to alert the chefs that the dish needs special allergy attention. What a great idea! This doesn't mean that mistakes can't happen - especially when the kitchen is very busy - but it is a very visible warning to the chefs to take a minute to pay special attention to that order. How cool!Maia Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search.
Guest guest
If Fridge, MD is still there, I highly recommend her. I knew her as a fellow at Stanford and she is amazing!
