Mariposa Cafe Grand Opening Sat Sept 8

Hi all. Just a quick note just in case. Mariposa Cafe, a GF bakery on Telegraph in Oakland is having a Grand Opening thing on Saturday, Sept 8 from 12noon - 4pm. Address: 5427 Telegraph Avenue, corner of 55th and Telegraph in a big brick building with Leo's Audio.

Bumping this. In case you haven't been there yet, this place is

awesome. I went in the afternoon and immediately ordered a piece of

pizza. It was so nice to be in a place where absolutely everything was

gluten free. I went a little crazy buying things, as it all smelled so

wonderful. The coffee cake and pumpkin bread were absolutely divine,

as was the blueberry muffin I devoured on the spot. I also got a bunch

of brownies which were awesome and the coconut squares, also

fantastic. They are working on loaves of bread, and I got one, and

they are coming along well. You can also get their pizza frozen to go,

and I got two, they came out great.

This place is wonderful, I want them to stay in business. I also heard

her say they were going to try to do a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving.

It is yummy, we should all support them!

They have pizza now? Awesome! When I was there they just had sweets

and some coffee drinks. Yay! I'm so going back. (The brownies are my

favorite EVER and the lemon bars, if they still have them, were great

too).
