We were there 2 years ago and had no trouble anywhere. Even the ferry

snack bar knew what we were talking about!

I was in Vancouver a few years ago, and made sure to rent a car simply

so I could get to their GF bakery, Panne Rizo (which is Italian for

rice bread) - http://www.pannerizo.com/ . I tried one of nearly

everything, and it was all quite yummy. As I recall, it was about 20

minutes South or Southwest of the touristy area... but near to the

University and some good beaches. Be careful to read the parking

signs - it was tricky to figure out where we were allowed to park and

nearly got towed 5 minutes after arriving!

We ate out a lot, but I don't remember anything too noteworthy. I

just did a quick Google to try to refresh my memory, and found several

promising lists...
