Guest guest
Got a question- Has anyone been successful eating at Asquew? I heard they marinate everything in soy sauce ;( Here's a few email replies I received... from Thirsty Bear: >>>The following items are gluten free: seafood stew, arugula salad, mixed green salad, jamon Serrano salad, All of the cheese plates and ask for no bread, Paella Valencia, Paella Verdura, Mixed olives, Baby artichokes, Boquerones, Gambas, Pork Chop (at dinner only), Lamb burger no bread, and on any of our sandwiches we can sub a salad for the bread. Once again, sorry I didn't get back to you, Amy Voisenat and! Seller's Market (2nd/Market) >>>Almost all of our salads are gluten free with the exception of Ahi Tuna salad and the Asian Peanut Tofu salad. Please ask for no chips or croutons on the other salads and you will be in good shape. Our soups are all gluten free except the miso soup. I have cc'd our Culinary advisor just in case I missed any other items. customerservice@...
Guest guest
I've had very good luck with Asquew in the Marina and on Haight street. Each place has a detailed list of ingredients behind the counter. I haven't eaten there in awhile, but there were usually several things on the menu I could eat. Good luck. - --- jmardesi <jmardesi@...> wrote: > Got a question- Has anyone been successful eating at > Asquew? Guest guest
I got sick at Asqew many times. Now I request everything without the sauce because the sauces DO have soy sauce in them Luttrell <stephanieluttrell@...> wrote: I've had very good luck with Asquew in the Marina andon Haight street. Guest guest
I also have had good experiences at Asqew, but I admit that I'm not very sensitive to CC or trace levels. The one in the Castro doesn't have the detailed ingredient list, but they called over to the Fillmore location to get the scoop. As I recall, the beef skewers were fine with their normal marinade (a wine based sauce) as were the chicken skewers. If you choose rice, ask for no sauce/marinade on it. The roasted artichokes are super but don't use the dipping sauce that's served on the side (it's butter + soy sauce). Good luck -laura > > I've had very good luck with Asquew in the Marina and > on Haight street.
