Guest guest
Hi -- You can try ice/heat rotations to the affected area. Or if necessary if you have any of your Vioxx left you can try that. 20 mins ice and wait then 20 mins heat. Caron

Guest guest
Dr R said Codeine for pain without Tylenol. No OTC. Romy Pain reliever I have tried unsuccesfully to page and call Dianne today, guess she's busy. So, I'm here asking advice. I hurt myself this morning doing my aerobics video. I need to take something for the pain, and I have been unable to get official professional advice. At this point, I will take any advice on what I can take. Guest guest
: Dr. R suggests Viox for pain. I use the 12 mg if I get a headache, but used the stronger ones (I believe the 50 mg) when I pulled a muscle and if that does not work get your PCP to prescribe a painkiller which does not have tylenol or ibuprofen (the things we cannot take). Guest guest
do you have any Vioxx left from surgery? Dr. R emailed me and said that is what he prefers when I asked him the same question you have. See if your PCP will call in a prescription for you. Good luck! Guest guest
I need help. I was on prednizone (did I spell this right?) for 8 days....taking 2 a day for 4 days and then 1 a day for 4 days. My last day was Wednesday. Dr. started me on methotrexate yesterday...10 mg. once a week. I noticed a flare up yesterday after stopping the prednizone. Can't get ahold of my dr. this weekend. Can I take Motrin for the pain with the methotrexate? Of course, I didn't think to ask him!! I appreciate any feedback ASAP..as you all know, it hurts like crazy! Thanks! Guest guest
I think it is important to always be sure to check carefully before eliminating a product. I think most products by these manufacturers (Tylenol, Advil, Motrin) are gluten-free, but you do need to check with the manufacturer or a reputable list to be sure about a specific product; there are many different types of Tylenol and Advil. Myrkat, I wonder where you heard that all these products contain gluten? Are your sources accurate and up-to-date? I think it is just as important to be careful about unnecessarily eliminating products as it is to make sure the ones you use are gluten-free. Knowing how to find out what we can eat is a survival skill. The most accurate and up-to-date information is direct from the manufacturer. Many products have an 800 number: use it!!! Many manufacturers have GF info in the FAQ’s on their web sites: that’s the next step (just make sure you are checking on the specific product you are using). Having a trustworthy GF product list at home is another way to get accurate information. , I suggest you pick a pain-reliever that suits your needs and has no obvious gluten, then call to make sure it is GF. Once you determine it is OK, you don’t’ need to call again unless you notice that the package is different or mentions a formula change.
