Guest guest Posted February 15, 2008 Report Share Posted February 15, 2008 I looked on the blog and it sounds like while the food allergy idea won the popular vote (57%), Martha chose 2 " winners " , the 2nd being the pet magazine. She is not planning to publish a food allergy magazine, rather, have recipes included in some of her more mainstream publications. There is a lot of uproar via blog comments from folks who are annoyed that there will not be a dedicated publication. It sounds like Martha does nto believe strategically it's a good enough biz idea to float on its own (while a pet magazine is, I guess). I posted a comment basically trying to stay positive and mentioning that there are many of millions of people in her target market for such a publication, only 97% of them have no idea they have a food intolerance or allergy. Hopefully over time she will come around but at least for now they will start to add some recipes into her other magazines. That may be helpful too as other folks may try them, realize they feel better when not consuming certain foods, and will provide us occasional new recipes.
