Wow, Michele. That just so much that I don't do any more. I used to

keep a mixed kitchen, but found it so much more trouble. So, I don't

do it anymore. The guys have a couple of breakfast items in the

kitchen that are carefully kept in separate wrappers, and any other

gluten-y foods are kept in their rooms.

It helps that I do 99.9% of the food buying and cooking, and that I've

learned that gluten free doesn't mean tasteless or boring or deprived.

:) Though there gluten free processed food items available, I seldom

buy them, preferring to make my own. I've found lots of gluten free

cookbooks, plenty of gluten free recipes on the net, and I've learned

to adapt old and new favorite recipes to be gluten free. (And I'm

willing to share!)

To put it another way, none of my household are starving or deprived

living gluten free!

You are absolutely right, Ruth Anne -- It's a lot easier to not have a

mixed kitchen. We've eliminated most non GF food from ours. This latest

turkey episode I don't think I'll repeat. COSTCO had a great pre-cooked

turkey breast over the holidays, and we got spoiled. This was the next

best thing, but since I can't eat it, and it's messy to deal with, I'd

rather cook one than hassle it this way.

I wish one of us was less kitchen-challenged, but alas, it ain't so. I

bake Cravings Place Ooey, Gooey Chocolate Brownies from a terrific mix,

sometimes other Cravings Place goodies (egg/wheat/gluten/dairy free!),

Angeline's frozen scones and cookies, Trader Joe's new GF peanut butter

pre-formed cookies in the freezer section.
