Guest guest
Hi all, I went down to Cambria and Paso Robles just after New Years for a short few days and just wanted to share my experience with all of you! The night we arrived, we didn't know where to go for dinner, but found ourselves at a restaurant called Robin's since the menu seemed interesting and there were lots of people waiting. Once we were seated, our server was helpful and attentive, and confirmed with the chef in order to get my meal just right -- which was delicious (pan seared tofu)! The next day, we went on the Wine Wrangler Wine Tour - which was so much fun. Since lunch was included in the tour, we called ahead to see if they would have any gluten free options - they said not to worry and they'd take care of it. When I received my lunch, I was delighted to find a lettuce-wrapped sandwich (I was not delighted to find a cookie in there too, which I automatically assumed was not GF; luckily everything was wrapped well!) - but other than the cookie mis-hap the lunch was fine (came with a cup of fruit and plain potato chips). I'm sure if you didn't feel comfortable with the lunch provided, you could bring your own and keep it in the cooler in the van. I would highly recommend Robin's and the Wine Wrangler tour -- but I will go ahead and include the usual disclaimer seen on many posts: as always, when eating out, you have to watch out for cross contamination to the extent necessary to meet your individual needs. Happy New Year, all! Lucy
