Bruno's BBQ

Bruno’s BBQ has two branches I am aware of, one in s

Valley and one in Santa Cruz. They have excellent ribs (love the baby

back ribs) and their sauce and grill are gluten-free. Our family has

eaten there for years with no problem, and other celiacs I have sent there have

not reported any problems. Many of the sides (potato salad, coleslaw) are

GF but the fries are not. They also have BBQ chicken. They are on

the expensive side, but if you are in the area and hungry for ribs, I recommend

Bruno’s.

I

don’t eat BBQ, but Annie’s GF BBQ sauce is good for home use (I

live by her salad dressings & mustard)

Someone

told me a chain called “Brunos BBQ” has safe BBQ options (fries are

not though)

As for the

Pizza, I wouldn’t trust GF pizza made in a regular pizza parlor for

anything – too much flour in the air and cross contamination.

I ate at Pizza Rustica a while back. I didn't think the GF pizza crusts were

very good, and I got really sick afterwards but I don't know for sure it was

gluten - All i know is myself and the person I went with (also gluten

intolerant) both got really sick. I'd rather make a Chebe crust at home, it's

tastier and safer.

Also, I don't eat BBQ when I'm out except when I can see the ingredient list -

Because it almost always has worcestershire sauce (which frequently contains

gluten) and/or some other suspect ingredient. I do eat grilled stuff, but

without the sauce.
