Guest guest
I am interested in whether or not anyone has found a way to more easily overcome the effect of having been cross contaminated (CC) with hidden gluten--after years of avoiding most gluten (I just wasn't privy to the need to avoid trace glutens and wasn't even aware there were any other than the more clear markers on the bottles). I was shocked to find I am so sensitive to the smallest amounts, even from a food server's hands if they prepare my tea. Afterwards these days I got shooting diahrrea--which I otherwise never get. What is even worse is that suddenly again I am more prone to get a difficult to get rid of ailment such as bronchitis and then a somewhat intractable U.T.I.Years ago before I figured out I had a wheat and rye intolerance (figuring out the barley and oats came later after my nervous system started breaking down), I was rapidly losing my right kidney by a series of inflammations and infections. I discovered that avoiding wheat and rye as well as oranges and grapefruit as well as chocolate made a huge difference and I stopped having problems for the most part--instead of having to take antibiotics forever. Otherwise herbs always helped stop an actual infection. But this time with the CC, no. They helped but weren't enough and I had to go back on the antibiotics. It then came back when I ate meat; so I am now off meat and back on my herbs. It seems maybe this time I can beat it without the antibiotics and by introducing pro-biotic capsules in my various personal places. It seems the cross contamination (CC) worsened my villi and made me more prone to leaky gut and thus loose proteins in my blood stream, down wind of which caused my bladder and kidneys to react. I am thus also taking extra anti fibronylitic agents and soothing & healing herbs for the intestinal gut. Which is helping but damn it seems I am starting all over again...Has anyone else had similar devastating effects from CC? And have they found remedies that help one recuperate faster? I did finally go to an acupuncturist and that helped. However it was expensive. But other than that, what else can one do? For now I use my soothing and healing herbs and hope soon I will be in a better condition and can be back exercising etc. But other remedies, suggestions (or even commiseration!) would be a great help.Bea
Guest guest
Bea, I’ve known about CC from the start, but it doesn’t prevent me from taking wildly stupid risks. And then “shooting”. I try to take pascalite brand bentonite clay before I take the risks and that seems to help. I take it when the results are evident and it helps then too, but not enough. What herbs are you using? Perhaps a mix of probiotics (I use kefired apple juice and homemade sauerkraut), clay and herbs will get me past the migraine and bathroom visits?
