I had a really nice experience at the Maggiano's at Santana Row. Pretty knowledgeable. There'sa PF Chang's downtown too, if you like them.

have heard both good and bad things about eating GF there. Any other

suggestions? I'm looking for someplace nice but not wildly

expensive ($20-30/per dinner is OK) that is kid-friendly as well as

gluten-friendly (hmmm, a tall order!). I looked on the Google map but

there wasn't much in SJ. I am hoping that is because no one has put

in reviews, not because there aren't any!

Thanks!

I've been able to eat safely at Sonoma Chicken Coop in downtown San

- I spoke with one of the servers who checked the ingredients for

the Lime Grilled Chicken and the only thing that had gluten in it was

the gravy - so I ordered it w/o gravy and no bread on the side - I have

had it twice w/o any reaction. It comes with grilled vegetables, rice

and mashed potatos (with leeks in it I think) - my husband and I

usually order another side of grilled vegetables and share it all, as

it's a lot of food. Many of their dishes are gluten-based (pizzas,

pastas, etc.) but I was happy to be able to order my favorite item

safely. I've also been to the PF Changs downtown.

I just saw this on another list - The Old Spaghetti Factory has a nice

sounding GF menu!

I added it to the GF map.
