Guest guest
Big yeast problem for me! IMHO, many more celiacs than the number we hear of have candida overgrowth, if celiac symptoms were long-term before going GF. It might explain your yeast issue. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Tonight's top picks. What will you watch tonight? Guest guest
That's the opposite of my experience. I had huge issues with yeast UNTIL I got off the gluten and not a single problem since.HiDee HoMan <hideehoman@...> wrote: Big yeast problem for me! Guest guest
Interesting thought. What kind of modifications have you had to make to your GF diet to also be yeast-free? Are there medications/supplements that help you? Are there tests for Candida? I've heard that many doctors choose to ignore Candida as a non-issue. Any suggestions/hints/help? Thanks! --- In , HiDee HoMan <hideehoman@...> wrote: > > Big yeast problem for me! > > IMHO, many more celiacs than the number we hear of > have candida overgrowth, if celiac symptoms were > long-term before going GF. > It might explain your yeast issue. > > > ______________________________________________________________________ ______________ > Tonight's top picks. Guest guest
I’ve been going to an ND (Naturopathic doc) and she had me send in a stool sample and they checked out my candida balance (among other things). I found out that I do not have candida, but there is another strain of candida that is out of balance – there are more than one type of candida bacteria, and the one that is typically referred to candida is not the one I have. But luckily it is easy to correct. If you’d like the name of my ND, just let me know – she’s awesome!
