Guest guest
Patty, Thanks for your prayers and consideration! . . . Please send me any info you have! I'm waiting for the PET scan to be scheduled. Hopefully this week! The machine in Hot Springs is down, so I have to go to Little Rock. It's interesting .. to prepare for the PET scan, I have to stay off sugar and carbohydrates before the test because they are attracted to cancer. Then, they give me a mildly radioactive solution with glucose and watch to see where, if anywhere, the glucose is attracted. . . . I find that interesting because one doctor claimed, years ago, to cure cancer by restricting sugar and carbs. I'm going to find that info and read it more thoroughly. I've already told my hubby that, if I go on a no-carb, no-sugar diet, that he's on his own when it comes to those foods. I won't buy them or prepare them! Still, they're welcome to surgically remove the cancer! . . . I don't want it! Hugs, Rogene

Guest guest
Rogene, I hope you don't feel bombarded with info, but I will send you lots of links and book recommendations! If I had been diagnosed with cancer, I would radically change my diet. You are right about the sugar. Would you believe that Otto Warburg won a Nobel Prize for his discoveries relating sugar and cancer back in the 1930's???? It makes you wonder WHY doctors don't stress a sugar free diet to ALL CANCER PATIENTS! (See this link: http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/nutrition/sugar.htm ) Please check out the www.gerson.org site. They are famous for the healing of cancer they have been able to do for over 60 years using raw foods and diet therapy, and yes, coffee enemas! I would definitely give the Gerson therapy a go. You can get several books about Dr. Max Gerson and his experiences healing cancer. Here is a list of his books or books on the Gerson therapy. I've read them all--very valuable info! There are clinics around the world that do the Gerson therapy, or you can learn to do it at home. The Gerson Therapy: The Amazing Nutritional Program for Cancer and Other Illnesses (Paperback) by Charlotte Gerson, Morton A Cancer Therapy: Results of Fifty Cases and the Cure of Advanced Cancer (Paperback) by Max Gerson Dr. Max Gerson Healing the Hopeless (Paperback) by Straus There is also the information provided by Dr. Lorraine Day who cured her breast cancer without surgery, chemotherapy or radiation. Her website also has a picture of her tumor coming out of her chest: http://www.dr-lorraine-day.com/ I have read several books about people have cured cancer, and one of them is called " How I Conquered Cancer Natually " by Eydie Mae. She had breast cancer, and it may inspire you! (By the way, she found out through experience that you can't have ANY sugar whatsoever, NONE, not even in something like dates!) http://www.nelsonsbooks.com/productinfo/295-180.html Then there is the product you might want to look into called Essiac tea: http://www.essiacinfo.org/ I know someone personally (one of my best friends) whose father was cured of cancer using this tea! Well, that should get you started Rogene. You might want to settle into some good reading, and then make a plan of action regarding your diet. Diet is HUGE when dealing with cancer, and I have no doubt, you are going to be a winner at this thing! Guest guest
Thanks Patty, I'm going to look all these over . . . If the rest of the doctors are anything like plastic surgeon, we're in big trouble. I'm already plannning a very, very low carb, no sugar diet of raw veggies with little meat. . . Guest guest
Rogene I have been praying for you and I am so sorry that your tests results were positive. Already your great attitude and determination are kicking in to beat this thing and I have every belief that you will. You are one strong woman and I can't imagine that anything will stop you from overcoming this setback! I am praying that the rest of the tests will confirm no spread from the lump and your prognosis is excellent. We are all here for you and I so appreciate the many many ways you have been here for all of us! May God bless you and give you His peace---the peace that passes all human understanding as you take on this new enemy. I just want you to know how very much I respect you and admire your strength, compassion, and dedication--these very things will be assets in helping you rid your body of any malignancy. Guest guest
Thanks Kathy, I'm planning to try bentonite . . . How much do you use? How often? . . . We use it reguarly in our glazes to keep glaze materials in suspension so they don't settle to the bottom of the bucket! . . . Someone sent me information on Pasculite. . Do you know anything about that? Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
- Hi Rogene I used the bentonite about three or four times. I would put in one to two cups. Here is some info I found on a website that sells clay: Bentonite Clay: Terramin Living Clay Bentonite clay has been recognized as a natural detoxification agent for centuries by native cultures around the world. When taken internally, bentonite clay absorbs bodily toxins (heavy metals, free radicals, pesticides) from the intestinal tract by attracting them to its extensive surface area, where they adhere like flies to sticky paper. The toxins are then eliminated with the undigested clay in bowel movements. Other health benefits include: aid in digestion, metabolism, and weight control; and increase in one's longevity, energy and stamina. Terramin 100% Natural Living Clay is a rich source of calcium and a other trace minerals. Trace minerals activate our enzyme systems and the biological functions that underlie nearly every manifestation of our lives. Terramin replenishes the body's essential minerals and macro/micro nutrients, where their absence may occur from soil depletion and genetically modified foods. The practice of using the Earth to heal people is known as Pelotherapy, and many such healing clays are used today in hydrotherapy, balneology, and natural, holistic medicine. Internal Uses Bentonite Clay Taken Orally: Using uncontaminated healing clays internally can be advantageous for general health. Traditionally, only small amounts of bentonite clay are required to achieve the following health benefits: Detoxification of digestive system (the sorptive action pulls contaminants from the body) Fixes free oxygen in the blood stream (occurs once liver is restored to full function) Elimination of internal parasites, organic and non-organic toxicity Stomach aches and bacterial food poisoning Immune system support Increases T-cell count Fights free radicals Mercury poisoning Trace mineral supplement Alkalizing agent in the body Internal Cleanse, Detoxification: Either take one Terramin tablet for every 50 pounds of own body weight, or drink one rounded teaspoon of Terramin clay powder mixed in 6-8 oz. of distilled water or juice, daily. For best results, take on an empty stomach. Eytons' Earth recommends taking the clay at night so it can work unopposed with other food eaten during the day. Dr. recommends that when taking bentonite clay internally, one should always accompany it with Psyllium Husk, a source of fiber. The reason for this is that some people fear that the clay could get lodged in the intestine. It is not known for certain if this has ever occurred, but, just to be safe, include a psyillium husk fiber supplement when taking bentonite clay orally. Dr. suggests this because psyllium is known to help regularity and to prevent undesirable inorganic minerals from entering the system. External Uses Bentonite clay is used in health spas for facial masks and full body wraps for deep dermal cleansing and rejuvenation because it purifies the skin by removing oils and impurities. Bentonite can also be used topically to alleviate abrasions, wounds, painful stings, sore muscles and other skin ailments. Preparation of Clay Packs and Wraps: Mix the powdered clay by slowly adding distilled water until a smooth consistency is formed. Allow time for the clay to set up; clay should be stiff yet pliable. This state is often referred to as a gelled clay. Any unused clay should be promptly covered and kept in a glass jar or sealable container to retain its moisture. Facial Mask: To 1 rounded teaspoon of Terramin powder, add enough water or milk to make a loose, aqueous mixture that can be applied with a brush or fingers. Apply a thin layer and allow to dry for 10- 15 minutes or longer. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Clay Bath Directions for Detoxifying (Heavy metals, pesticides, poisons) Information Provided by A. Add up to 2 cups of powdered bentonite clay (but not more than 2½ cups) into the bathtub and then run very hot water over the clay, as hot as it gets. Use a wire whisk to stir the clay around and to help it dissolve. Once you've got about 3 inches of water in the tub and the clay is dissolved, start adding cooler water until the water reaches the desired temperature. The bath should neither be too hot nor too cool, but should be nice and warm, as warm as is comfortable. Bathing time depends upon your condition, but can be anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. Please don't overdo it! If you stay in too long you may have what is known as a cleansing reaction and experience fatigue, headaches, muscle soreness, etc. Another option is to take about a cup of extra thick liquid bentonite clay and put it into the bath water. Others have used a full quart and more. It is highly effective in drawing out toxins. But too much, or too long exposure, will dry out the skin. If so, follow the bath by applying a body lotion. In Energy to Heal by Wendell Hoffman and through his own research, Hoffman found that a pure high-grade bentonite clay used in a bath can actually draw out toxic chemicals through the pores of the skin. After many experiments, he concluded that optimum results are obtained by immersing oneself in a tub of very warm water mixed with a very pure bentonite clay for exactly 20 minutes! Not just any clay will do. It is crucial to use clean, uncontaminated clay. Extreme amounts of bentonite clay used in a bath have been known to help the body detox from severe heavy metal poisoning; one can tell, because if it works, the clay turns black (from Eytons' Earth). Some people may notice the clay turns dark and may even take on a tar like consistency. Use rubber gloves and scoop out as much clay as possible and then clean the bath tub. Usually 1 – 2 baths is sufficient to draw out the toxins. Clay baths using 1 cup of powdered bentonite clay or 1 cup of thick liquid clay is good for soaking tired, sore muscles. I found it to be powerful for me. I would feel greatly better for several hours and then herx like crazy and have alot of muscle spasms and a pretty bad headache. Pasculite is another form of clay. I really dont know if it is any better--it appears to be more expensive. I never bought any of that but I am sure it would work well too. Guest guest
Kathy, Are you serious, would you take 1-2 cups of Bentonite internally? or are you talking about in a bath? That seems like a lot! Thanks, Rogene
Guest guest
LOL. I was talking about in a bath! I have taken it internally -- the bentonite clay from sonne labs. I used it with psyllium husks cleaner they sold also. For some reason that really messed up my digestive system for months---my husband did the same detox and told me it messed him up too! Internally I don't think it was more than a tbsp day--something like that. It has been a couple of years since I did that cleanse. Guest guest
Thanks Kathy, I think I may wait a while then. . . My stomach is already a little uneasy! . . . One thing at a time! I'm not sure I want to clean the bathtub after soaking in Bentonite? Was it difficult? Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Yea, it can be a little time consuming. I had to drain the tub slowly the clay didn't go down the drain and then scoop the excess out. It wasn't too bad though. I really do think it is a good detoxifier. But like anything else that detoxes, it can pull minerals out so you have to make sure to replace them or not do it too often. Hugs Kathy > > Thanks Kathy, > > I think I may wait a while then. . .
