Guest guest
I guess I am not an early adopter of Trader Joe's freezer desserts; however, we had a crowd in for a Saturday evening get together, and we decided to serve them Dolce Senza Grano GF Black Forest Torte for dessert. The directions on the 17-1/2 ounce box said that it serves 6, but I cut the torte into 8 pieces. There was plenty of dessert. The chocolate is really nice tasting, and the rice-based torte layers do not have the characteristic dry-rice-mouth because of the layers of vanilla and chocolate whipped cream filling. Cherry-eaters will not be pleased - there aren't a lot of cherries, but if you don't like black forest cake, then you won't like this either. But I do! The torte has a nice chocolate shavings and a dusting of cocoa on top of the first layer which is chocolate whipped cream. This product has my endorsement.
