Guest guest
You could always use a dust mask while changing litter. Also, be sure to wash your hands very thoroughly after handlng the litter, especially if pregnancy is a possibility. Think toxoplasmosis. H.**************Need a new ride? Guest guest
Sue, Are You going to eat it? Just joking! Their web site says that it is made MOSTLY of clay and it is 99.9 % Dust free. I know that a lot of cat litters use cellulose in them that could come from just about anything because they will never disclose what the cellulose is because it is always changing. I would assume that this product would be free of wheat dust because it is mostly clay and the other ingredients are most likely the scent granules. If you are worried about that then get the free version which has no dyes or fragrances. I have used a lot of cat litter for absorbing spills and never had any problem with the ones that used clay as the primary ingredient. Guest guest
Actually i have made and eaten a Kitty Litter cake! Not made with actual litter but it is made in a new litter pan with poops made from Tootsie rolls. You combine crumbled gf cake, green food color dyed cookie crumbs, and pudding to make the litter. That first bite takes some fortitude I can tell you! It was the hit of the party. For those with strong constitutions you can find pages of photos of this cake by googling it using kitty litter cake + photo. Maia

Guest guest
Do you hand out nose plugs when you serve that kitty litter cake? Maybe if all goodies looked like kitty litter it would make it easier for me to avoid all those tasty treats I shouldn’t eat. They could call it the kitty litter diet, where all the food you shouldn’t eat looks disgusting. Actually, I did hear recently that in Japan they have blue tinted glasses that make food look unappetizing so you won’t want to eat so much. Getting back to the original discussion of wheat in kitty litter, there are a few brands out there that use wheat (Swheat is one). I would definitely avoid that one, as it is made from actual wheat. I think few other brands are likely to have wheat, and if they did I expect it would say on the bag, but the best way to find out is to ask the manufacturer. Has the Scoop Away dust or smell caused a problem? Pam From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Pratt Sent: Tuesday, April 29, 2008 9:39 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Kitty Litter it was a hit, and so easy.
