Guest guest
ohhh good question, with summer coming up! Do they have a website? I haven't been up there forever, but since my newly diagnosed 11 yr. old will want to be, I hope someone knows about this... Guest guest
Six Flags in Vallejo will let you bring your own food in if you tell them you have food allergies. Guest guest
I just sent them an email this evening. I will see what they say & post the response. (Though, if anyone here knows the lowdown, please feel free to post it here, too). They even have a gluten free rice pizza at the pizza shop - while I didn't think it was great, kids would probably love it. If you go, eat breakfast at Storytellers cafe, tell the server you want the buffet, so you can get an custom omelet but they will make you GF pancakes. The GF waffles are too dry and sharp, I cut the inside of my cheek on them. Haven't been to Great America since my diagnosis. ----- Original Message ---- From: Pratt <kimberlymp1gmail> Sent: Monday, April 28, 2008 2:08:26 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Food at Great America ohhh good question, with summer coming up! Guest guest
I spoke to the head chef in Great America and she did not give me options because they change vendors etc all the time. She said we could bring in our own food. I took a risk and brought a Kinnikanik crust and had them make a pizza for me. She baked it on a tray covered with aluminum and she prepared it right on the pan so not to touch the flour surface and she used gloves. My son did not get sick. -- Ligia Stockwell lmstockwl@... ,,, ___________ ,·´º o`·, /__/ _/\_ ____/\ ```)¨(´´´ | | | | | | | | |--| | | | |l±±±±| ¸,.-·°´ ¸,.-·~·~·-.,¸ `°·-. :º° ·~·~·-..,¸ As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord ><> 24:15<><
Guest guest
Last time we were there (years ago) I think about all we could have was hot dogs w/o buns (I can’t remember if the hamburgers were ok, but I vaguely remember they weren’t; I think it was just the dogs) and corn on the cob. I believe the only other thing that was GF there was the sushi (w/o soy sauce, of course). Very pathetic. I think even the fries were not GF. Plan to bring your own food when you go.
