I've used San-J Wheat-Free Tamari for years. Today I found a different wheat-free tamari at Real Foods: it's Wan Ja Shan Organic Wheat Free Tamari Soy Sauce. It's produced in the U.S., is naturally fermented, using only water, organic whole soybeans, and salt. It costs about $3 at Real Foods.

I haven't done a taste comparison yet. Although San-J has been just fine, I'm pleased to have a choice. Be cautious -- Real Foods also stocks another wheat-free tamari that is contains barley.
