Guest guest
Has anyone found a reliable grocer for Charlotte's Bread, banana-nut or apricot-cranberry? These are delicious as slightly sweet breakfast toast. I'd been buying the breads at Real Foods on Fillmore, but the supply was erratic. This week there is nothing in its usual slot, no marker on the shelf, and none of the employees remembers ever hearing of the bread. Last month, I told the manager I was enjoying the bread, but she hadn't heard of it. The store isn't terribly strong on GF, I think. There's a Real Food on Polk; I'll call them -- I just thought of that possibility. Cal-Mart sometimes has one of the two fruit breads, sometimes not. Cal-Mart is a long way from the SF Marina, where I live. Charlotte's Bread website offers four loaves by overnight FedEx at a price so low that it would probably offset the shipping cost. However, I can't freeze that much bread nor would I eat it that fast -- although I'd love to chomp a loaf a day! (Charlotte's lasts for about two weeks before it goes moldy.) The Charlotte's website is rudimentary, or was as of last week, and it gives no "where-to-buy" information. H. H. **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight?
