I'd use it again. Clean well -- soap and water, or dishwasher if it's plastic. Using a stiff brush should take care of anything in scratches. In a house I sometimes share with non-GF relatives, we don't try to discriminate between GF and non-GF cuttting boards. I've never had a problem, although I react to very small amounts. We use both plastic and wood boards.

If you feel you have to make a decision -- keep the absent-minded fiance and dump the cutting board. However, keep in mind that you mustn't kiss him after he's eaten French bread. I'm not joking. Ordinary beer and kissing aren't a good match for us, either.
