Guest guest
Hi all- I just wanted to pass on a recommendation for the Riu Palace resort in Cabo San Lucas. My husband and I just returned and did not get glutenated once. It's all inclusive with buffets everywhere so there were always GF choices, and I also brought my spanish menu cards for situations where I needed to check to see if there was gluten. Now... sometimes the server really did not understand, nor did the manager who asked the chef, so in those cases I would just choose something else that I was sure was GF. Also, while we don't drink alcohol (which was also included), our favorite drink was the virgin banana colada (fresh bananas, pineapple juice, coconut milk and ice) - yum! This was our first time traveling since being diagnosed gluten sensitive (no official celiac diagnosis although I am convinced I am celiac based on lifetime symptoms which have magically vanished, and the severe reaction I have within 30 minutes of being accidendtally glutenated -and my husband gets a rash like DH whenever he gets glutenated). We did also bring lots of trail mix and raw food bars just in case there was no food but we only dipped into that while on the airplanes or when we left the resort for excursions.
