At long last, beginning May 18, Cafe Mariposa is planning to open on Sundays! Sunday hours will be the same as Saturdays, 10am-4pm. We are also changing our weekday hours to the following schedule, effective May 5: Monday - Tuesday: 9am-4pm Wednesday - Friday: 9am-6pm Saturday: 10am-4pm starting May 18 Sunday: 10am-4pm Book Signing with Mallorca just in time for mother's day ... On Saturday, May 10, we'll be hosting a book signing with Mallorca, author of " The Wheat-Free Cook " , a must-have cookbook for all gluten-free kitchens. is a fantastic local food writer and her book has been praised by many, including Dr. Green of Columbia University and Chuck , founder of -Sonoma. Come meet , check out her fabulous cookbook right before Mother's Day and sample some of our newest delights here at Cafe Mariposa! The book signing will take place from 11:30am-1:30pm on Saturday, May 10. Champagne & Brownies in Gourmet Alley it's time to celebrate ... Our fine neighbor, The Wine Mine, will be celebrating its one year anniversary with a free BBQ here in our Gourmet Alley. Here at Mariposa we will be pairing brownie bites with bubbly champagne to welcome the summer season and to join The Wine Mine celebration. Come by for great sweets, champagne and sunshine. Bring your friends and your family for this fun community gathering. The event will take place from 12-4pm on Saturday, May 17. New Delights at the Bakeshop some of our recent additions ... Crostini - gluten-free / dairy-free / nut-free In response to the many requests for crackers, we are now making crostini -- bite-size toastettes perfect for appetizers or just snacking. We suggest topping them with cheese, tomatoes, greens, prosciutto, salmon or figs. Yum! Nutmeal Raisin Cookies - gluten-free / dairy-free New to the bakeshop, we are offering Kapcakes' famously delicious nutmeal raisin cookies. They are a wonderfully chewy, oat-free, " oatmeal " raisin cookie. Torta Regina Cakes - gluten-free / dairy-free Coconut Pecan Macaroons - gluten-free / dairy-free Due to popularity, we are also continuing to offer two of Kapcakes' seasonal delights -- Torta Regina cakes and coconut pecan macaroons. Fragranced with citrus zest, the Torta Regina 8 " cake is a wonderful blend of chocolate, almonds and hazelnuts. Available by the 1/.2 dozen, the coconut pecan macaroons are a chewy twist on a classic macaroon.
