Guest guest
So I was wondering if any of the " experts " on the list would comment on this. (Maybe I should forward it to Clan .) It was my understanding that commercial food sometimes does use undistilled vinegar. I have been glutened by canned jalepenos, I am pretty sure, for that reason. This makes me question the TJ's gluten free list. -Luther ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Web Customer Relations <wcr001@...> Date: Tue, Mar 4, 2008 at 12:34 PM Subject: RE: Trader Joe's Product Information Form l@... Luther, We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. Vinegar used in commercial food production will always be distilled white vinegar. Although, it may be grain sourced it will not contain any gluten proteins and is considered gluten free. Sincerely, Amy Trader Joe's Customer Relations -----Original Message----- From: l@... Product Name: Ketchup, Organic Sku # : Date Code: Comments: Your No-Gluten list has " Ketchup, Organic " on it. I was in the store today and read the ingredients, and they include " Organic White Vinegar " . White vinegar is from wheat and contains gluten. Has it been distilled? Usually the ingredients would say " distilled vinegar " . Are you sure it is gluten-free? ****************************************************************************** This e-mail and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or company to whom they are addressed.
