Guest guest
This caterpillar color and shape beading game is hard to find, it was highly recommended in a family magazine and its been snapped up everywhere..great fine motor activity, roll the dice and find the color/shape to thread onto the caterpillar body. See this link for the game. If you google the game you may be able to find it somewhere online that has it instock. http://sbkidsco.com/Rondo-Vario-Color-and-Shapes-Game/M/B0017JA4HW.htm This one I got for my daughters, also another great fine motor game, also color/picture matching and lining up the pieces. See this link for the game. http://store.babycenter.com/product/bendomino+jr.+game.do?search=basic & keyword=b\ end & sortby=shortdesc & asc=true & page=1 Hope that helps. Lori > > I'd like to buy my kids a game for Christmas that we can all enjoy playing. Son is NT and 7, daughter is 3 and has severe fine and gross and oral motor delyas. For example when we play checkers now (it's the oversized version) we tell her which checkers to pick up... very simple, but she enjoys being with all of us and doing a part of the game and my son, of course, loves the strategy part and we like that we're just sitting down together and doing something quiet and peaceful . Any ideas on games? Thanks tara > > > > >
Guest guest
How about some of the new Dr Seuss games? In " Cat in the hat I can do that " you pick three cards that tell you what to do (task) with ______ in (location). One says " Take 4 giant steps " with " cake " (foam toy included in game) " balanced on your head " . If a child can't do it, they have the chance to put the cards down and wait for a more appropriate challenge, but I'm sure you can change the rules as you choose for your daughter. I bought it for my children - my daughter (4) has hypotonia/ motor planning issues and my son has apraxia (some motor planning issues as well, but so mild that only a therapist can spot them...). There's also " Horton hears a who - you to the rescue " , " The Grinch - Sing your heart out " , and " Oh the Places you'll go - board game " . The cat in the hat is selling for $6 at Amazon ($15 at Target). At that price, I'm buying a few - I can wrap it up with a Cat in the Hat book and give it as an affordable perfect gift for any 3 y/o I come across. > > I'd like to buy my kids a game for Christmas that we can all enjoy playing.
