All adopted & with Down Syndrome. Found some. Powder free, slight vanilla flavor: http://www.speechdynamics.com/speech_web/cat23.htm Also, Therapro had some spray you could buy to flavor things if you wanted. Thanks for reminding me of this, . WE need to replace the usual toy he chews on (which is hard). It's making his mouth shape differently than it should. If only he wouldn't leave gum all over everywhere.... j
Guest guest
My son had this 4-inch length of tubing that was hollow, flexible, and great for chewing, but I can't find it and I'd like to have some on hand. He has started to put his HotWheel cars in his mouth (not chewing, but he sticks part of it in his mouth), and this morning I noted that he was chewing on the corner of a DVD case. Where can I buy this tubing? I don't want Chewy Tubes that are nubby (T shaped, Q shaped, etc), but this flexible tubing that's hollow. Guest guest
--- My son has one of these from when he was in a very oral stage. They are called Chewy Tubes and if you did a search on Google maybe you could find where to buy one. If you have an OT or other therapist they may be able to give you one if you ask. We got ours from my son's OT through Early Intervention. Good luck! Guest guest
My son loves the red t-shaped chewy tubes - really helps keep his hands out of his mouth. We've had various therapists suggest the clear tubing used for aquariums that you can get at the pet store as a cheap and sturdy alternative. We haven't tried it - but maybe that will be like the one that you're missing. , mom to Cordis, 4y/o --- skbteach1 <seankristen@...> wrote: > --- My son has one of these from when he was in a > very oral stage.
