Guest guest
Perhaps you might be looking for the " DTP " vaccine. (Just a side note, we do not give ANY vaccines, and I do not recommend them.) , LPN > > > hi, a while back, there was a post that stated the dtap vaccine was condradictory to give to people with neuro issues (apraxia of speech) i really need to find this info for my pediatrician PLEASE!!!!!--darcy cesario > > >
Guest guest
I am not sure which posting you are referring to but I found this on the internet and I think this may be what you're looking for. This is a pretty good guide listed by the condition your child may have and what not to give: Guide to Contraindications to Vaccinations The Guide is arranged alphabetically according to symptoms and conditions that may, correctly or not, be perceived as contraindications to vaccination. The first column states the symptom or condition. The second column lists individual vaccines, when recommendations differ by vaccine. The third column states whether or not a person with that symptom or condition should be vaccinated. http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/vac-admin/contraindications.htm click on the download pdf link for the chart or use the link below for the full chart http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/vac-admin/downloads/contraindications_guide.pdf THis one list all of the contraindications of the vaccines. Contraindications to Vaccines Chart http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/vac-admin/contraindications-vacc.htm HOpe that helps. Guest guest
My son had a seizure and the ped no longer gave him the DTap, just the DT shot. This is long before he was diagnosed with apraxia. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Darcy Go to Google and do search for " dtap neurological damage " -- take a look at these websites which talk about potential neurological damage related to dtap. I also sent a separate email which was a forward from an article sent to the group back in 2005 on the subject.
Guest guest
Hi Darcy, What state are you in? Most states allow for medical and religious exemptions. This should help with school admittance. It has been my experience that doctors are not easily convinced, and they simply don't listen. On a personal note, it was following this vaccine that my son began his battle with chronic digestive issues that later developed into chronic constipation. It has been a battle to say the least. Guest guest
Here's the state by state breakdown (which state allows which exemption) altho I've tagged your state (illinois) and if others want to look you'll have to go back: http://www.909shot.com/state-site/Illinois.htm good luck Leigh
Guest guest
My son had several declines after vaccines, and the doctors acknowledged them, but still refused to write a letter of exemption. They're not easy to get. I don't know the specifics as how to get a religious exemption. I think I've seen where someone forwarded you some information on that.....so that site may give you information. Those doctor's notes are tough to get. Guest guest
Darcy, If you send me your address via personal e-mail to my hotmail e-mail address, I will send you a copy of the waiver. It is simple and you just have it notarized and give it to the schoolto put in the permanent record. They should not harass you anymore after that. >> > hi, a while back, there was a post that stated the dtap vaccine was condradictory to give to people with neuro issues (apraxia of speech) i really need to find this info for my pediatrician PLEASE!!!!!-- darcy cesario > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]>
Guest guest
In our state of Mn all you have to do is have a letter notarized that the parent writes that states it goes against their beliefs for whatever reason it is and that is it. Guest guest
Has anyone been given vaccine exemptions in Florida? Just really curious about that. I'm really nervous about getting my son getting the shots he supposedly needs before entering kindergarten. thx, M.
Guest guest
I had abolutely no problem. I got a religious exemption in about 5 minutes. No questions asked- just like the law says. Just be sure to " opt-out " of the state registry FLSHOTS. http://www.know-vaccines.org/Â From: liisaann2003 <LiisaAnn@...> Subject: [ ] Re: D TAP vaccine Date: Monday, January 19, 2009, 8:57 PM Has anyone been given vaccine exemptions in Florida? Guest guest
I did too - in Clay county, and they didn't even ask me for birth certificate, identification or anything. I have heard that Duval can be more challenging (not sure where you are, I'm sure it varies everywhere), but just go in and know that they are legally not allowed to ask you any questions, have your documentation and you will be fine. I was *super*nervous too, but it was fine. Good luck! On Mon, Jan 19, 2009 at 10:42 PM, L. T. <mrefus@...> wrote: > I had abolutely no problem. I got a religious exemption in about 5 > minutes.
