I'm looking for help from those of you that use e/o's. I spoke to a gentleman yesterday that is starting a small gift shop in a hotel and he is interested in my products on a consignment basis. He wants me to put together a gift basket to show him and about 3 - 4 soaps that they would carry on a regular basis. He started talking about scents and mentioned lavender, bergomot sandalwood, etc. I told him it sounded like he knew a little about soaps and he said his daughters are into aromatherapy, natural healing, etc. So I said, then am I to understand you want essential oils instead of fragrance oils and he said yes. He said he had once smelled a combination of bergomot and something like cyclamin? I had never heard of anything similar to cyclamin (sp?) and searched some e/o sites today and can't find a name similar to it. Have any of you heard of such a thing? It sounds like a drug to me. It's possible he's got the name wrong. If none of you have heard of it or something similar, I'll have to email him and ask him if he knows exactly how to spell it. Now, since I don't have many e/o's in stock, I'm going to need to go shopping. So if any of you have info on the best place to buy e/o's, I would certainly appreciate some help. Then once I get some, I'll be asking for help as far as qty. to use, etc. I'm not real big on using them because of the safety precautions with people who are pregnant, high blood pressure, etc. that I always see listed on websites. Does that usually pertain to soaps, too? It doesn't seem like the little amount used in soaps could be that dangerous but I may be wrong. Help me out here, girls. I have until about the end of the month to put samples together before I find out if I get the account. Guest guest
Does this work? I changed it to plain text. Dee Re: More help needed , There is a flower called a Cylamen (sp).My old boss gave me one for Secretary's Day once. Beautiful flower but hard to grow and I can't remember if it had a beautiful smell or not. Dee
Guest guest
Hi , I have been finding that some scents are just name suggestions. I think it is just a marketing thing. I have a cold spray that says eucalyptus but smells not much like Eucal. It also has echinecea in it. Have you ever smelled an echinecea - it doesn't BUT it is the plant of the decade. I have Sandy Maine's first book and she has some nice EO combinations. Really like her love lite EO blend but some of the EO's she uses are very pricey. Have always used melody's EO's - she has a large selection. Good Luck - blending is really fun but time consuming. chris Joe Murray wrote: Ok, girls. Guest guest
Maybe bergamot and jasmine? I know there is a plant called cyclamen (or similar spelling), but I've never heard of it being made into an EO ... - Ela (000)___(000) Ela Heyn / @ @ \ ferret@... | | ======@====== http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/5483
Guest guest
Good morning everyone! I'm sending out a second request to invite you all to participate in my research study on the essential fatty acids (omega 3's and 6's). I am a certifed SLP and work with children who have childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). I am completing my PhD and am presently working on my dissertation investigating CAS and the essential fatty acids. I need many of you to complete an online survey, however, I must have a signed consent form prior to my sending out the online survey link. I realize that having to sign a consent form to participate is somewhat of a hassle however, it is required by my institutional review board and I can't send out the link until I have the form signed (it's a matter of legality). I really appreciate those that have returned the form and participated thus far but I need many more of you to help make this study publishable and research-sound. Those of you that contacted me initially...please get those forms back to me as soon as you can; I will send out the survey link as soon as I get the form. The consent form should answer any questions you may have regarding what the study is all about. However, if you will email me, I will fill you in and answer any questions still unanswered. You may reply to one of two addresses: [1] alan.smith@... [2] smithafit@... Thanks again for your help. -Alan F.
