I will be going to the dfacs office tommorrow when they open to apply

for the katie beckett deeming waiver. What am I to expect. I believe I

have most of the paperwork filled out from my developmental

pediatrician and I just typed up a typical 24 hour day which I believe

it is called a 24 hour plan of care. I have been told to also include a

picture of my child as it makes it more personal when they put a face

to a name. Others have said they have never heard of this. I also have

my ssi denial. Is there any thing else I should have or any tips?

I attached a picture of my daughter to our package also.  My only other

recommendation is to make sure you contact your case-worker every 2  weeks.

We applied for the 3rd time about 7 weeks ago, and since then have been denied

then reinstated twice because of missed appointments that we knew nothing

about.  If I had not contacted the case worker in time, the decision would have

stayed.

We are in Dekalb County so hopefully, the system flow in Forsyth is Better.
